Neurodegenerative diseases are a leading cause of disability and death, especially in the elderly. As life expectancy rises, more people will be affected. We must improve how we diagnose, treat and care for those impacted."

Our Mission

Improve the lives of those living with dementia and Parkinson’s disease through the creation of knowledge from multidisciplinary clinical and basic research, to increase our understanding of the causes, pathophysiological mechanisms and effective treatments for neurodegenerative diseases.

Dementia is the most common neurodegenerative disease in the world. Thirteen million Americans will be impacted by the year two-thousand-fifty. Parkinson's is the fastest-growing neurological disorder globally. Two million Americans will be diagnosed by the year two-thousand thirty-seven.

Harris College is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those living with these conditions by offering support services, advancing research and promoting awareness.

Together, we aspire to create a world where individuals living with dementia and Parkinsonism can find comfort, support, and the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
