No. Both our MS in speech-language pathology and emphasis in bilingual speech-language pathology programs are only offered with a fall start. See Ph.D. in Health Sciences webpage for more information about the doctoral program.
Yes, so long as the student has taken all required prerequisite coursework:
- Audiology
- Aural Rehabilitation
- Speech and Hearing Science
- Phonetics
- Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing Mechanisms
- Language Development
- Clinical Methods
- Neurological Substrates of Communication and Swallowing
- One course in the following:
- Statistics
- Biology
- Physics or Chemistry
- Social Science
Students are also required to obtain 25 hours of guided clinical observations prior to enrolling in the graduate program.
Students typically complete the program in five semesters.
Yes. Graduate assistantships are offered to all admitted students admitted. You may decline these and still attend our program; however, the assistantships typically pay for 60-70% of the tuition cost.
